SILENCE IS ABOVE THOUGHTS AND ABOVE 'NO-THOUGHTS. SILENCE IS  NEITHER A SUPPRESSION OF THOUGHT.  IT IS THE ABSOLUTE STATE, WHERE THERE IS NEITHER A 'SEER' NOR A 'SEEN' NOR THE ACT OF 'SEEING'. AT THE PHENOMENAL STATE, 'A SLEEPING MAN' IS THE NEAR EXAMPLE.  AT THE ABSOLUTE STATE,  ETERNAL SILENCE IS THE TRUTH.

OUR PHYSICAL STRUCTURE REPRESENTS  'LIVING', WHILE 'SENSE OF EXISTENCE, REPRESENTS "LIFE".

"I-AM"  IS  'SENSE OF EXISTENCE '.  IMMEDIATELY,  ON  ITS PROJECTION, THERE ARISE CONCEPTS  WHICH  SHADOW  THE VERY 'SENSE OF EXISTENCE'.

"I-CONSCIOUSNESS" IS BEYOND CONCEPT,  ALTHOUGH  CONCEIVED BY THE HUMAN MIND,  AS THE ORIGIN OF "I-AM".

'CONCEPTS' ARE THE 'BONDAGE', AND ABSENCE OF 'CONCEPT' IS  MUKTHY.

IN EACH BREATH, 'LIFE'  IS  INHALED FROM THE. INFINITE, AND  'LIVING'  IS EXHALED.

'LIFE' IS "PEACE"  AND  'LIVING' IS 'HAPPINESS'.  BEYOND IS "INFINITE"

FAITH  EMANATES  FROM  MIND, BELIEF FROM  INTELLECT AND TRUST FROM HEART.


ATTRACTION/REPULSION, POSSESSION, ATTACHMENT - ALL THESE EMOTIONS ARISE FROM EXPECTATION.

EQUANIMITY OF VISION, ACCEPTANCE, WITNESSING - ALL THESE ARISE  FROM  WISDOM KNOWLEDGE.

THOUGHTS EMANATE FROM "I AM",  AND EXPRESSED THROUGH EMOTIONS AND RATIONAL THINKING.  BEYOND THESE TWO IS "WISDOM-KNOWLEDGE" WHICH ARISES FROM "INTELLIGENCE" AND EXPRESSED THROUGH EQUANIMITY OF VISION, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS  "SAMA DARSANAM", "SAMATWAM".

"HAPPINESS" ,  "LIKES AND DISLIKES" AND "PLEASURE AND PAIN" ARE RESPECTIVELY FROM WISDOM-KNOWLEDGE, RATIONAL  THINKING  AND EMOTIONAL MIND.

SAMHARAM, THIRODANAM AND ANUGRAHAM ARE  THE  THREE FUNCTIONS OF LORD SHIVA.  SAMHARAM  DESTROYS THE CONFLICTS IN CONCEPTS,  THIRODANAM  ERASES THE CONCEPTS  ALTOGETHER AND FINALLY, ANUGRAHAM ABSORBS THE ENTIRE CREATION CAUSED BY VIDYA AND AVIDYA MAYA.

PHILOSOPHICALLY,  INDIVIDUALITY AND INDIVIDUAL DISSOLVE IN I-AM;    AHAMKARAM AND JEEVA BHODAM  MERGE WITH ATMA BHODAM.

I-CONSCIOUSNESS AND ATMA BHODAM ARE ONE AND THE SAME - THE FORMER IS MACROCOSMIC AND THE LATTER IS MICROCOSMIC. ONE IS 'WATER IN THE OCEAN' AND THE OTHER IS 'WATER IN THE WAVE'.

IN THE MAHAVAKYA "TAT TWAM  ASI",  TAT IS  PARAMATMA AND TWAM IS ANTHARATMA. SOMETIMES INTERPRETED AS  BRAMHA AND JEEVA. ULTIMATELY, IT IS ONE AND THE SAME REALITY, EXPRESSED DIFFERENTLY, SIMILAR TO WATER EXPRESSING OCEAN, SEA OF WAVES, INDIVIDUAL WAVE , BUBBLES ETC.

OUR  JOURNEY IS FROM SILENCE ZONE TO NOISE ZONE; FROM  COMFORT TO  DIS-COMFORT.    SILENCE IS  "LIFE" AND NOISE IS "LIVING".  SILENCE IS HIDDEN,  IN EVERY ACTIVITY.  MEDITATION - DHYANA- IS RECOMMENDED, ENABLING TO GO BACK TO THE SOURCE.

MEDITATION  BEGINS WITH ONE THOUGHT-A MANTRA, AND ENDS WITH NO-THOUGHT - NO MANTRA.

NIRGUNA  BRAHMAM IS 'SHIVAM',  AND  SAGUNA BRAHMAM IS 'SAKTHY'.  BEYOND  IS  'ABSOLUTE' -  'SUDDHA BRAHMAM'.

DEVI  IS  SAKTY WHO  BRINGS  OUT  AASAKTHY (DESIRE) TO THE. INDIVIDUAL.  HE  MISUSES  THE. AASAKTHY IN THE PURSUIT OF WORLDLY DESIRES SUCH AS PLEASURE, LIKES AND ENJOYMENT,  AND IS CAUGHT IN DUAL AND CONFLICTING CONCEPTS;  WHEN  HE  TURNS  ASAKTHY TOWARDS  DEVI  HERSELF,  IT BECOMES  BHAKTY, AND  HE IS BLESSED WITH 'PURE HAPPINESS'.

DEVI IS BOTH CONSCIOUS AND COSMIC ENERGY , A  SANKALPA OF SHIVA.

UNDERSTAND  REALITY AND GET AWAY FROM  IMAGINATION. THIS IS POSSIBLE ONLY THROUGH  DIVINE GRACE,  ALTHOUGH  WE CLAIM  FREEDOM  OF MIND,  IN THIS RESPECT.

CONCEPTS  ARE  BROADLY CLASSIFIED AS  POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE,  AND  EMOTIONS  ARE CLASSIFIED  AS ATTRACTION AND REPULSION. 

CONCEPTS FUNCTION  AT  THE INTELLECTUAL LEVEL,  AND EMOTIONS FUNCTION  AT THE MENTAL LEVEL.

SANKALPAM  IS. CONCEPTS;  VIKALPAM IS MISUNDERSTANDING THE CONCEPTS .  SANKALPAM  IS MITYA  AND VIKALPAM IS 'BRAMAM'

SNAKE IS A CONCEPT; ROPE IS ANOTHER CONCEPT;  IMAGINING THE ROPE AS SNAKE IS VIKALPAM.

RHYTHM,  SATYAM  AND  PARAM  INDICATE "I AM", " I "  AND "BEYOND".


"I-CONSCIOUSNESS" IS "LIFE" THE FIRST EXPRESSION OF "ABSOLUTE".

WAVE, SEA OF WAVES AND OCEAN REPRESENT RESPECTIVELY I AM AN INDIVIDUAL,  I- AM  AND I CONSCIOUSNESS.

AHAMKARAM, JEEVA TATWAM, ATMA TATWAM, ISHWARA TATWAM AND BRAHMA TATWAM.  MEAN:  FROM INDIVIDUAL EGO TO INDIVIDUAl,  FROM INDIVIDUAL TO I AM, FROM I AM TO " I  " AND FROM  " I  "  TO THE ABSOLUTE.

HAPPINESS IS THE NATURE OF "I AM",  OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "LIVING" IN IT'S FULL EXPRESSION.  PEACE, ON THE OTHER HAND, IS THE BASIS FOR HAPPINESS. PEACE AND HAPPINESS  ARE THE ESSENCE OF LIFE AND LIVING.  THEY ARE NOT TO BE VIEWED. SEPARATELY.  THEY FUNCTION  SIMILAR TO OCEAN AND SEA OF GENTLE WAVES.

ISHWARA AND ATMA ARE ONE AND THE SAME "I-CONSCIOUSNESS" - ONE IN THE MACROCOSMIC SENSE AND THE OTHER IN THE MICROCOSMIC SENSE.  WHEN  GOD IS VIEWED  AS 'LIFE', THE ENTIRE COSMOS REPRESENTS "LIVING".


SIMILARLY, WHEN. ATMA IS CONSIDERED AS 'LIFE',  JEEVA IS THE 'LIVING' ASPECT.

ATMA IS 'LIFE' AND JEEVA IS 'LIVING'.

AN INDIVIDUAL HAS BOTH THE ASPECTS OF LIFE AND LIVING. 
'I AM  AND I AM AN INDIVIDUAL'- ATMA AND JEEVA.

'EXISTENCE' AND 'SENSE OF EXISTENCE' CANNOT BE SEPARATED. THEY EXIST TOGETHER SIMILAR TO OCEAN AND SEA OF WAVES, SIMILAR TO DANCER AND DANCING, SIMILAR TO SHIVA AND SIVAA.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE ABSOLUTE. (BRAHMAM)  AND GOD PRINCIPLE (I-CONSCIOUSNESS) IS SIMILAR TO 'LIGHT' AND 'DAY LIGHT'). 

BOTH "ISHWARA CHAITANYAM"  AND "ATMA  CHAITANYAM" ARE ONE AND THE SAME "LIFE PRINCIPLE..

ULTIMATELY, BRAHMAM,  ISHWARA AND ATMA ARE ONE AND THE SAME CHAITANYAM, AND THE "INDIVIDUAL" IS AN APPEARANCE  SIMILAR TO AN INDIVIDUAL WAVE,  PROJECTING  B.M.I - KSHARA ASPECT.

ATMA IS BOTH LIFE AND LIVING .  JEEVA IS  CONFINED TO 'LIVING'.  A HARMONIOUS LIVING  EXPERIENCE HAPPINESS.

IN DEATH JEEVA DISENGAGES FROM " B.M."   AND DISSOLVES IN ATMA.  ATMA HAS NO DEATH. IT ABSORBS JEEVA - IT'S OWN REFLECTION, SIMILAR TO OCEAN ABSORBING A WAVE.

'BHAKTHY' IS THE PATH OF SURRENDERING AND KNOWING. ALTERNATELY, ONE CAN TREAD THE PATH OF GNANA, DOING TATWA-VICHARAM  ETC., AND FINALLY LAND UP IN SURRENDERING .

"I AM"  IS AKSHARA  AND "I AM SO AND SO" IS KSHARA.  BOTH AKSHARA AND KSHARA ABIDE IN "I CONSCIOUSNESS" .  BEYOND IS ABSOLUTE WHICH ABSORBS  THE  ABOVE SAID THREE ASPECTS .

STICK ON TO "I AM" WITHOUT DILUTING THE SAME TO 'I AM AN INDIVIDUAL', AND 'INDIVIDUALITY'.  'I AM' SHALL IN DUE COURSE MERGE WITH "I-CONSCIOUSNESS", AND ULTIMATELY BOTH SHALL REST IN "ABSOLUTE" - THE GREAT SILENCE.

JEEVA REPRESENTS  INDIVIDUAL,;  ATMA REPRESENTS  "I AM"; PARAMATMA REPRESENTS  GOD PRINCIPLE, AND BRAHMAM REPRESENTS  " ABSOLUTE" -  ALL THESE  ARE MERE CONCEPTS ENTERTAINED BY 'I AM THE INDIVIDUAL'(JEEVA). 

ATMA  NEVER  ENTERTAINS  DIFFERENT CONCEPTS SUCH AS TIME-SPACE, CAUSE-EFFECT, NAME-FORM.  .

JEEVA IS A REFLECTION OF ATMA , REFLECTING ANTHAKARANAM (MIND, INTELLECT, STORED VASANAS  AND INDIVIDUALITY). JEEVA HAS ITS JOURNEY THROUGH KALAM, KARMAM AND GUNAM.


EGO  IS  A DEFLECTION - A FEELING OF 'INDIVIDUALITY' - DOER SHIP, ENJOYER SHIP, ATTACHMENT TOWARDS  BODY  AND POSSESSOR SHIP.

SECLUDE " I AM"  BY  EXCLUDING  THOUGHTS. " I AM " SHALL  IMMERSE IN " I ", IN DUE COURSE;  'SENSE OF EXISTENCE' SHALL IMMERSE IN "EXISTENCE". TILL THEN, REMAIN IN "I AM" WITHOUT ATTACHING  MIND/THOUGHTS  TO  IT.

"I AM"  IS THE UNIFIED VISION OF "EXISTENCE".  A NEW BORN CHILD IS THE APPARENT MODEL OF "I AM". THE CHILD HAS NO CONCEPT OF TIME AND SPACE, NO CONCEPT OF CAUSE AND EFFECT AND NO CONCEPT OF NAME AND FORM.  THE CHILD  DOES
NOT  EVEN DIFFERENTIATE THE ELEMENTS.

ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT 'LIVING' HAS  ITS  BASE IN 'LIFE'.  THEY EXIST LIKE WAVES AND OCEAN.

OCEAN HAS MORE REALITY THAN THE WAVES.  WAVES APPEAR AND DISAPPEAR;  OCEAN REMAINS CONSTANT.

LIFE IS DIVINE GRACE - LIVING APPEARS ON IT AS IF A 'HUMAN EFFORT'.
WITHOUT LIFE WHERE IS LIVING? THE ULTIMATE TRUTH  IS  THAT BOTH THE OCEAN AND WAVES  HAVE THEIR BASE IN "WATER".

APART FROM WATER, OCEAN AND SEA OF WAVES, FURTHER DISSECTION AS INDIVIDUAL WAVE AND STILL FURTHER ENTERTAINING A FEELING OF INDIVIDUALITY (EGO ) ONLY DISTURBS THE OTHERWISE PEACEFUL NATURE OF  OCEAN AND THE HAPPINESS IN THE COLLECTIVE WAVES.

IT IS SAID THAT "TUREEYA" IS 'I AM' AND TUREEYADITA IS " I ", ALTHOUGH IN PRACTICE, BOTH TUREEYA AND TUREEYADITA  EXIST IN "I AM". THEREFORE, CONTEMPLATIVE AWARENESS RESTS IN CONSTANT CONTEMPLATION OF "I AM".

SILENCE  BRINGS  OUT ONE'S  INNER STRENGTH.

AHIMSA , IN ITS TRUE MEANING , IS DHARMIC LIVING; KURUKSHETRA BATTLE ,IN THIS SENSE ,  WAS A 'DHARMIC WAR'
WHERE KILLING WAS A NECESSARY EVIL.  ULTIMATELY, THE KURUKSHETRA WAR WAS TO DO AWAY WITH THE EVIL ELEMENT, AND ESTABLISH THE TRUTH THAT A HEALTHY LIVING IS WHAT IS EXPECTED OF "LIFE". (AMPUTATION OF A PART OF A BODY IS A MUST  TO RESTORE A HEALTHY -DHARMIC- LIVING.)

DHARMIC WAR IS A WAR BETWEEN TWO VALUES VIZ. , ALTRUISM AND ATTAVISM.

DHARMAM  IS  DIFFERENT FROM ACHARAM .  THAT WHICH HOLDS  YOU,  IS  DHARMAM. THAT WHICH IS HELD BY YOU , IS  ACHARAM..

ACHARAM  SHOULD  BE  BASED ON DHARMA .  THE BRAHMINS GIVING MORE VALUE TO ACHARAM IN PERFORMING THE YAGNA 
THAN TO  THE DHARMA  OF  FEEDING THE STARVING CHILDREN  ( AN EPISODE IN SRIMAD BHAGAVADAM ),  IS  NOT A  DESIRABLE ACT.

IN SHORT, RHYTHMIC LIVING IS DHARMA.  ACHARAM MUST BE A TRUE EXPRESSION OF DHARMA, AND NOT A  MERE REFLECTION.

WHILE ACHARAM  IS A  WAY OF LIVING BASED ON  VARYING CULTURE, DHARMA IS THE  'ADHISHTANAM'    FOR LIVING.

COMPASSION,  LOVE. AND  CHARITY. ARE THE THREE ESSENTIALS OF DHARMA.

MARRIAGE IS A TRAP WHERE TWO  INDIVIDUALS  OF  OPPOSITE SEX  ARE  CAUGHT AND CHAINED BY THE SHACKLES OF INSTINCT AND EMOTION.  WHEN  VIEWED  DIFFERENTLY , WITH  DIVINITY ATTACHED TO  IT,  MARRIAGE IS  A CELEBRATION  OF  'I' ABSORBING 'I AM'. (LORD MAHESWARA AND DEVI )

DEHA BHODAM AND DEHA ABHIMANAM ARE ABSENT IN DEEP SLEEP. AS WE WAKE UP, "I AM" - DEHA BHODAM  ARISE, FOLLOWED BY DEHA ABHIMANAM, THOUGHTS ETC. 

BOTH THE 'KNOWER' AND THE 'KNOWN' ASPECTS  ABIDE IN "KNOWLEDGE".


"SATYAM"  IS BEYOND CONCEPT,  AND OUR DESCRIBING IT AS PRAGNANAM AND AANANTHAM, IS  BOUND  BY CONCEPT.

SATYAM  IS  'SILENCE',  AND ANY  CONCEPT OF IT IS ONLY A CREATION OF MIND.

DEVI  IS COSMIC EGO EXHIBITING  BOTH  VIDYA MAYA  AND AVIDYA MAYA.  WHILE VIDYA MAYA  BLESSES  US  WITH  WISDOM KNOWLEDGE (SAMGNANAM), AVIDYA MAYA REFLECTS  ILLUSION (MITYA),  WHICH  IN  TURN  BRINGS  OUT  'DELUSION' (BRAMAM).  WE ARE CAUGHT IN BOTH MITYA AND BRAMAM.

WHILE AVIDYA MAYA BRINGS OUT DUAL/CONFLICTING  CONCEPTS,  VIDYA MAYA  EXHIBITS.  HOMOGENEITY . (E.G., OCEAN  WITH GENTLE MOVEMENT OF WAVES IN HOMOGENEITY REPRESENTS VIDYA MAYA, AND CONFLICTING  WAVES    REPRESENT AVIDYA MAYA).

ONLY  WITH THE BLESSINGS OF DEVI,  ONE CAN  OUTLIVE INDIVIDUALITY AND SENSE OF INDIVIDUAL ( BRAMAM AND MITYA), AND  ATTAIN  WISDOM-KNOWLEDGE.


FROM  DEEP SLEEP TO DREAM , FROM DREAM TO THE WAKING, THUS GOES THE  CREATION.  SIMILARLY, FROM  WAKING TO DREAM AND FROM DREAM TO  DEEP SLEEP, IS THE REVERSE PROCESS OF DISSOLUTION.

AASAKTHY, AGNANAM  AND  'AHAM', IN DUE COURSE, TURN INTO BHAKTHY, GNANAM AND BHODAM.

IT IS INTELLECT THAT KINDLES THE 'INTELLIGENCE' WHICH IS INHERENT IN EACH ONE. THEREFORE, ONE HAS TO  UPLIFT ONE'S OWN EMOTIONAL MIND TO INTELLECTUAL MIND WHICH IN TURN LEADS  TO  'WISDOM -KNOWLEDGE' AND FINALLY TO "REALITY".

FROM EMOTION TO RATIONAL THINKING,  FROM THERE TO WISDOM KNOWLEDGE AND FINALLY TO INTELLIGENCE. AIMING AT INTELLIGENCE, EMOTION  SHOULD TURN INTO BHAKTHI YOGA, INTELLECT  INTO GNANA YOGA AND WISDOM KNOWLEDGE TO ENLIGHTENMENT. THIS IS TERMED AS SPIRITUAL JOURNEY.

THERE  IS A CONCEPT THAT WHEN  THERE  IS  NO SENSE OF EXISTENCE., AWARENESS COMES  TO THE FOREFRONT.  IN DEEP SLEEP,  ALTHOUGH, THE  SENSE OF EXISTENCE IS ABSENT, IT IS A TEMPORARY PHENOMENON, SIMILAR TO APPEARANCE AND DISAPPEARANCE OF WAVES  ON THE OCEAN, FOR THE TIME BEING.

"I AM",  NEVER PRESENTS  ITSELF, ALONE.  IMMEDIATELY, ON APPEARANCE, 'I  AM' STARTS REFLECTING, SPACE-TIME,  NAME-FORM, CAUSE-EFFECT AND ALL CONCEPTS, EMOTIONS, RATIONAL THINKING AND EGO.

INSTEAD OF SHRINKING AS EGO, "I-AM"  SHOULD EXPAND AND IMMERSE IN "I-CONSCIOUSNESS.  THE WAVE SHOULD IMMERSE IN OCEAN .

MIND IS LIVING , AND THAT WHICH HOLDS THE MIND IS LIFE; MIND IS COSMIC ENERGY,  AND LIFE IS CONSCIOUS ENERGY.

LIVING  EXPRESSES THROUGH  TIME, CHARACTER AND ACTION  AND LIFE EXPRESSES THROUGH LIVING.

THE VERY CONCEPT OF DEVI RESIDING IN THE HEART OF MAHAVISHNU, SUGGESTS  THAT ATMA (I-AM)  IS IN THE 'HEART OF
"I-CONSCIOUSNESS".

IT IS ATMA THAT REFLECTS JEEVA (I AM AN INDIVIDUAL) WITH THE ANTHAKARANAM AND INDRIYAS  FORMING THE PHYSICAL BODY.

MIND (ONE OF THE ANTHAKARANAM)  BRINGS IN CONCEPTS, APPARENTLY DUAL AND CONFLICTING IN NATURE, AND EGO (ANOTHER PART OF ANTHAKARANAM) REACTING TO THE CONCEPTS, WITH LIKES/DISLIKES  BRINGING IN PLEASURE/PAIN.

INTELLECT FUNCTIONS AS A GUIDE , TO VIEW THE  CONCEPTS WITH DISCRETION, AND  ENDOWS WISDOM KNOWLEDGE SO AS TO LEAD A RHYTHMIC LIVING , AND  EXPERIENCE PURE HAPPINESS.

SENSE OF EXISTENCE IS "CHIT".  PHYSICAL EXISTENCE IS "SAT". THE RESULTANT  EXPERIENCE  OF SAT  AND  CHIT

SATYAM IS BEYOND CONCEPT, BEYOND UTTERANCE AND BEYOND EXPERIENCE.


DEVI  REFLECTS  AASAKTHY (DESIRE) WHICH IN TURN DEFLECTS  KAMA, KRODHA,  AND AHAMKARAM.  WHEN WE TURN OUR ATTENTION TO THE SOURCE I.E., DEVI HERSELF, AASAKTHY  BECOMES,  BHAKTHY, AND WE ESCAPE FROM THE REFLECTION AND DEFLECTIONS.

DEHAM IS 'LIVING',  AND DEHI IS 'LIFE'.  DEHAM ROTATES IN THE WHEEL OF TIME, AND  DEHI  IS THE AXIS.  KARMA AND GUNA ARE THE FORKS  IN THE WHEEL OF TIME.

AN ASSUMED OBJECT IS 'LIVING', AND THE SUBJECT IS 'LIFE'.
THIS LIFE-LIVING DANCE  IS SIMILAR TO OCEAN AND WAVES, FIRE AND SMOKE.

IT IS EGO THAT CAUSES MITYA AND BRAMAM (ILLUSORY WORLD APPEARANCE AND DELUSION OF MISUNDERSTANDING  THE CONCEPTS) ONCE THE UNREALITY OF THE ILLUSORY WORLD IS INTUITIVELY GRASPED, REALITY IS REVEALED.

ANY AMOUNT OF EFFORT, LIKE RELIGIOUS PRACTICE, PHILOSOPHICAL STUDY,  WITHIN THE EGO CIRCLE,  WON'T HELP TO  COME OUT OF THE EGO PRISON.

ALL EFFORTS ARE SIMILAR TO THE SEARCH FOR THE 'TENTH MAN'.

IMPULSES, INSTINCTS, EMOTIONS, RATIONAL ANALYSIS  ETC., ARE ONLY SHADOWS,  OR RATHER SMOKE CONCEALING THE 'REALITY'.
