"I AM" IS, OTHERWISE, CALLED "ATMA"  THE FIRST SPROUT  OF "I-CONSCIOUSNESS".  "I AM" REFLECTS- JEEVA AND  THE DEPENDENT B.M.I (BODY-MIND-INTELLECT) EQUIPMENT  IN EACH INDIVIDUAL.

"I AM" IS THE MICROCOSMIC FORM. AND " I " IS THE MACROCOSMIC FORM OF ONE AND THE SAME  CONSCIOUSNESS.


THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SANYASY AND AN ORDIARY MAN IS THAT THE FORMER HAS NO KARTHRITWA BHAVAM, NO BHOKTRUTWA BHAVAM AND NO DEHABHIMANAM, WHILE THE LATTER POSSESSES ALL THE THREE.

WE MAY TERM THE 'DOING' AS "IGNORANCE", AND  'BEING'
AS 'KNOWLEDGE".  DOING IS 'JADA SAKTHY' AND ' BEING' IS 'CHIT SAKTHY', AVIDYA AND VIDYA SAKTHY  RESPECTIVELY.

THE PRINCIPLE OF CHIT AND JADAM IS DEVI TATWAM .

DEVI IS 'SENSE OF EXISTENCE' , AND SIVA IS ''EXISTENCE'.  BEYOND IS "ABSOLUTE ".  DEVI BESTOWS HAPPINESS AND SIVA IS PEACE. 


KALAM, KARMAM AND GUNAM DO NOT BELONG TO 'CONSCIOUSNESS, (EXISTENCE) ,  NOR  DO THEY BELONG TO "I AM"(SENSE OF EXISTENCE )  THEY ARE ONLY 'REFLECTIONS  ' OF "I AM".


THERE IS NEITHER 'TIME' NOR 'SPACE'  IN "PRESENCE"; SIMILARLY, NO NAME AND FORM AND NO CAUSE AND EFFECT.  ALL THESE PAIRS ARE THE PRODUCTS OF MIND - WHICH IS A REFLECTION  IN THE 'SENSE OF PRESENCE' ("I AM" ).


THE URGE IN EACH ONE OF US - WHETHER IT IS EXPLICIT OR IMPLICIT - TO FIND OUT THE SOURCE, IS SIMILAR TO THE URGE SEEN IN BIRDS TO RETURN TO THEIR NEST, AND SIMILAR TO THE URGE OF THE RIVER TO JOIN THE OCEAN LEAVING BEHIND ITS NAME AND FORM.

TRUST ENCOMPASSES BOTH FAITH AND BELIEF, AND NOT OPPOSED TO THEM.

DEHA  BHAVAM  SHOULD, IN DUE COURSE, BE REPLACED  WITH ATMA BHODAM.

OUTLIVE THE CHIT-JADA GRANTHY. THIS GRANTHY APPARENTLY  SUBSIDES IN DEEP SLEEP.

ATMA IS THE LIFE PRINCIPLE, AND JEEVA IS THE LIVING PRINCIPLE  -


IN THE MAHAVAKYA "TAT TWAM ASI",  "ASI"  HAS COMPARATIVELY, MORE IMPORTANCE, BECAUSE ONLY WITH "ASI", TAT AND TWAM  CAN BE IMAGINED.

MEDITATION IS  A  'BHAVAM'- IMAGINING  A  PARTICULAR MANTRA OR WORD, AT THE MENTAL LEVEL.  BHAVAM  CULMINATES  IN ANUBHAVAM AT THE LEVEL OF 'SENSE OF EXISTENCE'. 

WHILE MEDITATING "SHIVOHAM " AT THE MENTAL LEVEL, ONE SHOULD  IMAGINE PEACE WITHIN AND HAPPINESS WITH - OUT.

DEVI - (VIDYA AND AVIDYA SWAROOPINI)  IS THE CONNECTING FACTOR BETWEEN 'LIFE' AND 'LIVING'. AVIDYA  LEADS TO 'LIVING', AND VIDYA LEADS TO  DEVI HERSELF.

DEVI  IS BOTH  VYAKTHAM AND  AVYAKTHAM ; DEVI IS BOTH "I AM" AND " I  "

WATCH THE BREATH WITH THE MANTRA "SIVOHAM", AND BE IN AWARENESS OF PEACE AND HAPPINE.

"I AM AN INDIVIDUAL"  IS THE FIRST CONCEPT FROM COSMIC EGO.  THE INDIVIDUAL WITH THE B.M.I .  STRUCTURE  BRINGS  FORTH  INNUMERABLE  CONCEPTS.

"INDIVIDUALITY" IS INDIVIDUAL EGO ( DOER SHIP, ENJOYER-SHIP  POSSESSOR-SHIP AND 'DEHABHIMANAM".

AVIDYA MAYA BRINGS OUT CONCEPTS - "I AM THE INDIVIDUAL IS WITH B.M.I. STRUCTURE",  EGO,  GNANAM,VIGNANAM ,GUNAS, ELEMENTS  AND WORLD APPEARANCE. ALL THESE ARE CATEGORISED AS 'MITYA' (ILLUSION).  WHEN ONE CONCEPT  IS VIEWED FOR ANOTHER CONCEPT,  (AS IN THE CASE OF ROPE-SNAKE ANALOGY), IT IS KNOWN AS BRAMAM (DELUSION). THUS, MITYA AND BRAMAM COVERS THE ENTIRE AVIDYA MAYA.

VIDYA MAYA ELEVATES THE INDIVIDUAL TO THE SOURCE,  WHEREAS , AVIDYA MAYA BINDS THE INDIVIDUAL TO THE OBJECTIVE WORLD OF MITYA AND BRAMAM.

DEHABHIMANAM IS  'INDIVIDUALITY', DEHABHAVAM IS "I AM AN INDIVIDUAL", ATMA BODHAM  IS "I AM",  AND  BHODAM  IS  "I - CONSCIOUSNE

AS WE BOW  BEFORE  ISHWARA  IN THE TEMPLE, WE SHOULD ENTERTAIN THE FEELING OF "I AM" SURRENDERING TO ISHWARA .

THE TERMS : EGO, JEEVA, ATMA,  ISHWARA AND BRAHMAN , SHOULD BE CLEAR IN OUR MIND. (EGO IS INDIVIDUALITY, JEEVA IS THE REFLECTION OF ATMA IN EACH INDIVIDUAL, ATMA IS 'I AM' - THE SENSE OF EXISTENCE,    ISHWARA IS I-CONSCIOUSNESS,  AND BRAHMAN  IS THE SUPREME AND INCONCEIVABLE REALITY.

AS  "I - CONSCIOUSNESS (ISWARA)  IS TO THE VISWAM, SO IS "I AM" (ATMA) TO THE INDIVIDUAL.  ONE IS  MACRCOSMIC FORM AND  THE OTHER IS MICROCOSMIC FORM OF ONE AND THE SAME CHAITANYAM.

MIND (INDIVIDUAL) BY GAINING WISDOM KNOWLEDGE , GETS THE STATUS OF "I AM". 

WHEN WE PROSTRATE  BEFORE  GOD IN THE  TEMPLE,  IT IS ACTUALLY  "I AM" (ATMA) SURRENDERING TO GOD  THIS IS THE TRUE SPIRIT OF "BHAKTHY". 

THROUGH GNANA MARGA ALSO,  THE SAME GOAL IS ACHIEVED AND IDENTITY OF "I AM"  WITH GOD-CONSCIOUSNESS IS REALIZED.

ALL TRUE BHAKTHAS,  THROUGH DEVOTION , QUALIFY THEMSELVES  WITH ' WISDOM KNOWLEDGE, BEFORE REALIZING IDENTITY WITH GOD.

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE ,WHATSOEVER, BETWEEN "I AM"  AND "I"

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BHAKTHA AND A GNANI.

A  DRAMA ACTOR CANNOT, BY HIMSELF, CHANGE THE ASSIGNED ROLE AND THE DIALOGUE, HE HAS TO ENACT IN THE DRAMA.  THEY ARE DECIDED BY THE MANAGER OF THE DRAMA SHOW! (IT IS THE DIVINE WILL THAT DIRECTS OUR LIFE-LIVING DRAMA).

DEEP SLEEP IS SOMETIMES COMPARED TO SAMADHY.  REALLY, IT IS NOT SO.  A PLAIN GLASS ,  WITH MERCURY BEHIND, ASSUMING THE ROLE OF A MIRROR REFLECTS
OBJECTS IN THE WAKING AND DREAM STAGES.  IT REFLECTS  THE DEEP SLEEP ALSO SIMILAR TO REFLECTING A DARK OBJECT IN FRONT. 

THE GLASS WITH MERCURY BEHIND IS COMPARED TO "SENSE OF EXISTENCE", WHEREAS, PLAIN GLASS IS "EXISTENCE - (I-CONSCIOUSNESS) .

TIRODANAM IS ONE OF THE FUNCTIONS OF LORD SHIVA, AFTER  DESTROYING THE CONCEPTS CREATED BY BRAMMA, AND SUSTAINED BY VISHNU.  AFTER THE TIRODANAM, SADASIVA. ABSORBS YOU.

TO START WITH, OBSERVE THE MIND, TURNING AWAY FROM  THE OBJECTIVE  WORLD. YOU SHALL REALIZE THAT ATTRACTION AND REPULSION  ARISE IN THE  MIND,  AND THAT THEY  DO. NOT BELONG TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD.

ONCE THE PAIRS VIZ., ATTRACTION/REPULSION ARE ERASED FROM THE MIND, YOU SHALL FIND OUT THE SOURCE OF THE MIND IN "I AM" -  'SENSE OF EXISTENCE'.

"SENSE OF EXISTENCE" SHALL CONTINUE SO LONG AS  THE SENSE  OF PHYSICAL BODY REMAINS.

WHEN ONCE THE  VERY SENSE OF PHYSICAL EXISTENCE IS OUTLIVED,  PURE EXISTENCE (" I ") ALONE SHINES.

DEVI  IS PRAISED WITH THE EPITHET "ADHY GARVADAYAI" IN 'SREE LALITHASAHASRANAMAM.  IT MEANS DEVI REPRESENTS COSMIC EGO THAT IS. "I AM" (SENSE OF EXISTENCE) - FIRST EXPRESSION FROM "EXISTENCE". 

CERTAIN PEOPLE HAVE FAITH IN OMENS, AND THEY STRICTLY ADHERE TO THEM .  THIS FAITH  HAS NO RELIGIOUS  NOR RATIONAL SUPPORT , NOR HAS ANY  PLACE  IN  SPIRITUALITY.  A SPIRITUAL PERSON CONSIDERS ALL EVENTS AS "PRARABDHAM"  WITH THE TRUST THAT DIVINE GRACE SHALL  BESTOW  A MENTAL ATTITUDE  IN HIM ENABLING TO RESPOND TO ANY EVENT APPARENTLY ENJOYABLE OR PAINFUL.
